1. Product range selection:

In order to achieve the best effect of product accuracy, life, stability and other functions, the range selection of the product is calculated by referring to the following formula:

Range = x (1.2-1.5) times of the maximum system pressure;

The actual measuring pressure range of the product should be 15% - 80% of the range;

2. Signal output mode of the product:

The signal output specification depends on the requirements of the back-end acquisition equipment;

Common are: control and display instrument, PLC acquisition and input module, MCU acquisition card, PC serial port, etc

If the back-end acquisition equipment is determined according to the output specification of the product, it is recommended to use the general two-wire system 4-20mA;

3. The user should understand the measurement medium characteristics of the product:

Medium specification, medium temperature, medium purity (whether containing impurities or particles, etc.);

4. Users should understand the installation environment and installation method of the product:

Indoor or outdoor installation;

Ambient temperature;

Required sealing level;

Vibration range of equipment;

Installation method: thread, flange, special structure;

Whether the installation space meets the overall dimension of the product;

Whether the installation sequence is: first install the sensor, then cable;

Question 1: no output from pressure transmitter?

Reason/processing method

The power line is connected reversely according to the operation manual / product certificate / product label

Poor wiring of electrical connector: disassemble the electrical connector and check whether the wiring of each terminal pin is firm

Transmitter amplifier board burned out, repaired or replaced


Question 2: is the output of pressure transmitter less than 3.92mA or less than 0VDC?

Reason/processing method

The power supply voltage is less than the required value. The normal minimum power supply voltage is 9VDC. Check the voltage value

The power of power supply is not enough. Does the power of power supply meet the requirements of rated load

Excessive load of acquisition circuit check circuit load

If the pressure value exceeds the minimum range value, is negative pressure formed at the pressure tap of the transmitter

Repair or replace the pressure transmitter amplifier board after burning out

Impact or overpressure core damage repair or replacement


Question 3: pressure transmitter output ≥ 22mA or 5.5VDC/10.5VDC?

Reason/processing method

The power supply voltage is less than the required value. The normal minimum power supply voltage is 9VDC. Check the voltage value

The power of power supply is not enough. Does the power of power supply meet the requirements of rated load

The pressure value exceeds the maximum range value. Check the loading pressure of the pressure transmitter

Repair or replace the pressure transmitter amplifier board after burning out

Question 4: unstable pressure transmitter output?

Reason/processing method

Unstable pressure source check whether the pressure of the pressurization system is stable

There is no grounding wire. The pressure transmitter and equipment are grounded

The installation position of the transmitter has a large magnetic field. Install a shield or replace the installation position

The cable is too long and passes through the magnetic field to replace the cable routing position

Transmitter water inlet or steam transmitter is not powered down into the temperature box, heating 65 degrees for drying

Cleaning of stone sand or sundries in pressurized pipeline

If the pressure medium temperature is too high, check whether the medium temperature is within the allowable range of the transmitter


Question 5: how to install and replace the pressure transmitter?

Reason/processing method

Install (because the cable is not detachable) 1. Install the pressure transmitter first

2. Test whether the process connection of pressure transmitter is sealed

3. Arrange pressure transmitter cable routing

4. Connect the power on test output of acquisition instrument or equipment

5. Normal operation  Disassembly or replacement is reversed from the above installation steps
